Moo-ving to the Cloud
Web'n'more website hosting is heading to the cloud!
The fantastic news is that your businesses and websites are constantly growing with traffic - the more each of your websites and businesses grow, the more it draws on our current server.
To cater for this growth, Cloud Hosting separates each clients website from using the resources of another. While some websites are heavily being used, they can sometimes consume the resources of other websites using those same resources. The Cloud can control this issue and also has new technology to handle downtimes more efficiently and manage server protection.
Still located in Australia, this new cloud configured server will be faster and more reliable plus the prices will stay the same for you.
This new cloud hosting platform is also now going to be fully managed by the website hosting company we use, which means if there is a problem, the IT gurus will receive notification immediately and rectify it as soon as possible.
We are excited to announce we are also offering a new product, Daily, Weekly and Monthly backups, so if anything goes wrong with your site, particularly database driven Content Managements Systems (such as Joomla, Magento and Wordpress), you can choose to restore from a number of backups being stored on our remote backup server.
The cost of the Data Backup service will be $55/year (inc GST).
This service is already in place and included for our Business Plus Hosting clients & Business Super Hosting clients, with a limited number of backups in place - we are now offering it to everyone that hosts with Web'n'more with full backup possibilities.
There are no interruptions expected with this migration to the cloud, however, if you do experience any problems with your emails or websites please contact us immediately. If you have a content management system, we ask that you do not make any edits through the expected changeover period to avoid losing changes.
The move is currently planned for Tuesday evening, 27th May 2014 at 10:30pm AEST.
- As technology changes, so does the software installed on the cloud server, always dynamically improving the server
- The Cloud controls resources of heavy-sucking websites and isolates to that site only
- As hosting providers, we can continue to scale up (or scale down) our cloud hosting capacity
- A continuing available access to more resources with no extra charges
